Laravel performance consultant for US teams
If your Laravel application has become slow, expensive, or fragile, you do not need an agency and a discovery phase. You need one senior engineer who has fixed exactly this before, and who will tell you what is actually wrong before anyone commits a budget.
This is the first thing US teams ask, so here is the arithmetic rather than a reassurance.
India is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving, which puts me 9.5–10.5 hours ahead of US Eastern and 12.5–13.5 hours ahead of Pacific. That is a real gap and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
What it means in practice: my afternoon and evening overlap your morning. A start at 18:00 my time is roughly 08:30 Eastern — a genuine working overlap for standups, calls and pairing, not a token hour. Work continues while you sleep, which on a rescue engagement is a feature: you review findings in the morning that were produced overnight.
What it does not mean: instant replies at 3pm Pacific. If your project needs someone reachable through your entire working day, I am the wrong choice and I will say so on the first call rather than three weeks in.
US engineering salaries make the arithmetic on a scoped rescue unusually clear. A senior Laravel engineer on payroll in a US metro is a substantial annual commitment plus benefits, plus the months of hiring before they start. A fixed-scope audit or rebuild by someone who has done it before is a different order of decision, and it does not require you to be right about a long-term hire.
The more useful difference is what you actually get. The US market is well served by agencies, and the agency model has a structural problem: the senior engineer who wins the work is rarely the one who does it. You get an account manager, a discovery phase, and a team whose composition you learn about after signing. That is not dishonesty, it is how the economics work — senior time is the scarcest thing an agency has, so it goes into sales.
I am one person. The engineer on your first call is the engineer in your codebase, and there is nobody to hand you off to. That caps the size of what I can take on, which I would rather be upfront about than discover together at month three.
What US teams tend to hire me for: an application that got slow as it grew and now costs more to run than it should; a legacy Laravel system that still runs the business and cannot afford a failed rewrite; multi-tenant architecture where a customer has started asking hard questions about data isolation; AI features that need to work on real data rather than in a demo.
The risk US buyers name most often about offshore engineering is the vendor who disappears — work that arrives late, communication that thins out, and no way to tell whether progress is real. The honest counter is not a promise, it is structure: measure before changing anything, ship in stages you can see, and judge the result against the numbers we agreed at the start. On one legacy rebuild that meant taking a single page from 3,982 database queries to 52. You do not have to trust that; you check it.
If your procurement requires a vendor with headcount on paper, SOC 2, or a US entity, I am not that and I will tell you early. Plenty of good work does not require any of those.

Do I get you, or a team I have not met?
Me. There is no bench and no handoff. If a project genuinely needs more hands I bring in developers from partner firms, you interview each one, and you are told plainly who employs them.
Are you SOC 2 certified?
No. That requires an organisation and an audit budget a single engineer does not have, and I will not imply otherwise. If your procurement requires it, I am the wrong vendor and would rather say so on the first call.
What if you are not the right person for this?
I will tell you. A referral I stand behind is worth more to both of us than a project I take and get wrong.
